Wednesday Stamper

Here is my creation for this weeks Wednesday Stamper. The topic this week was houses, but since I don't own a house stamp I created my own house! The bird stamps are my new favorites--they are Teesha Moore who makes some of the most beautiful stamps out there.

Tiny Tuesdays

Here is my creation for tiny Tuesdays. It's from a swap I'm doing with outrageous vintage hats. I really love the look of this woman, so coy and serene! I tinted the sides of the card with stamp ink, and the text is from a French poem.

Halloween!!

I have to admit, I hate the fall. Mostly because it means that Winter is right around the corner and winter in Indiana is no box of chocolates. But my one consolation as the weather turns grey and rainy is Halloween. It has to be my favorite holiday. I get so excited looking at decorations each year, I think my husband questions my sanity! This year I've signed up for a couple of Halloween swaps and here is my first card I created. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone creates!

Wisecracking Women

Here is another card from my Wisecracking women series. I no sooner put it up on my flicker site and I had a request for a swap for it. I should've printed out enough to make three of them. I have to say, it's my new favorite.

Altered Cabinet Card

So I tried to get this posted yesterday...but blogger was giving me fits and would not load any photos. Grrr. Anyway, this is an altered cabinet card--my first ever--that I did using acrylics, gel medium transfers, colored pencils, and stamps. I'm thinking about doing a set of altered cards that tell a progressive story, but I haven't quite decided what they're going to be about. This one was just me getting my feet wet!

Manic Monday

I am back from Vegas and had a fabulous time! It's been a little difficult getting back to reality. This picture is the view from our hotel room at the Bellagio. It seems I spent most of my time in Vegas shopping and swimming in the pools. I have to say my favorite store was Viva Las Vegas Stamps where I bought an obscene number of unmounted stamps! It's good to be back and hopefully I'll be all caught up in a few days.

Happy Birthday to Me!

So today (the 5th) is my birthday. And this will be my last post for a couple of days becuase I'm leaving to go to Las Vegas!!!

Manic Monday (2 Days Until Vegas)

Today truly is manic--I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with everything that has to be done before my trip. But I did manage to get this little ATC done. I used stamp ink to do the borders on both the card and her wings. I love this little girl she looks like she's just stepping out for a good time!

Fun Friday (Four Days Until Vegas!)

Here is another page from the journal I'm working on to take on vacation. The background is layered acrylic and the tags with ribbons sticking out are for journaling. I wanted something a little fun looking, but I still wanted to be able to journal, so I made a pocket out of the pages the size of the tags. And I used curly ribbon hoping that it would look like the tops of a present.
